US President Donald Trump stated on Friday (May 15) that he has been in contact with North Korea’s Supreme Leader, Kim Jong Un. He described his relationship with Kim as “extremely good.” The report comes from CNN.

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One while returning from China following a two-day visit, Trump said, “As you know, my relationship with Kim Jong Un is very good—quite private.”

When asked whether there had been any contact with Kim, Trump replied, “Yes.” When asked how many times he had spoken with him, Trump stated, “It doesn’t matter; I won’t tell you anything about that.”

Trump asserted that North Korea’s Supreme Leader is respectful toward the United States. “I want him to be respectful,” he said. He told reporters that during his visit to Beijing, he had discussed North [Korea] with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
