A commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has stated that the innocent blood of martyrs killed by US “criminal forces” will never be forgotten, and that this bloodshed will certainly be punished.
IRGC commander Major General Ahmad Vahidi issued this warning in a message on Thursday (September 3), according to the Tasnim News Agency. Last Tuesday, US forces carried out a bombing attack on a wedding ceremony in a coastal town in Iran’s southern Hormozgan province. At least four people, including a child, were killed, and another 68 were injured in the attack.
The IRGC commander condemned this latest attack by US forces, labeling it a “war crime.”
In his message, Vahidi stated that the sinister and evil face of the United States has once again been exposed to the world through this terrorist and inhumane act.
He remarked that this horrific crime—committed against men, women, and children at a wedding ceremony within the safe environment of our beloved homeland—reveals the depth of the hostility and hatred harbored by the enemies of the Revolution and the Islamic system. At the same time, it highlights their helplessness and despair in the face of the resilience and iron-clad resolve of the people of this land.
“I extend my deepest condolences to the bereaved and suffering families of those killed in this horrific crime. I also offer my condolences to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the great Iranian nation,” he said.
The IRGC commander further stated that the shedding of the martyrs’ sacred blood would not go unpunished. He emphasized that the IRGC and Iran’s other powerful armed forces continue to act as guardians of the sanctity of the blood of these loved ones—killed during the second and third phases of wars imposed by the US and Israel, particularly the War of Hormuz—as well as other martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sovereignty of Islamic Iran.
He added that they would continue to fulfill their duty as guardians of the security and peace of the nation and the Islamic country with all their might and capability.
