US President Donald Trump has stated that Washington is engaged in “very good talks” with Iran. However, Iranian officials have repeatedly denied the existence of such discussions.
In an interview with Fox News, Trump said, “We are having very good talks. They don’t want to admit it. But yes, it is a bit frustrating.”
He added, “The only thing that matters here is effective action. They want to make a deal. Now let’s see what happens.”
Trump further remarked, “If they don’t reach a deal, it will be very bad.”
Trump made these comments amidst ongoing tensions between Iran and the United States. Previously, Iranian officials had dismissed claims that direct talks were taking place with Washington.
