Major ballistic missile attack on a Saudi Arabian airport.

A series of attacks took place at Abha International Airport in Saudi Arabia’s Asir province. Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi rebels have claimed responsibility for the attack.

This information was reported in Al Jazeera’s live coverage on Tuesday.

Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree stated on the social media platform X that the ballistic missile attack on Abha Airport was precise and direct, causing disruptions to flight operations at the facility.

He further added, “We reiterate our warning to all global airlines regarding the consequences of continuing to operate flights within Saudi airspace, as it has become a battleground for our military operations.”

However, Saudi authorities have not yet commented on this latest attack by the Houthis.

Earlier, on Monday night, the Houthis launched attacks on airports in Jazan and Najran, resulting in injuries and causing damage to the airport facilities.
