US Launches Repeated Strikes on Iran’s Qeshm Island at Dawn

The United States has carried out a series of strikes on Iran’s strategically significant Qeshm Island, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal.
Iranian media outlets reported multiple explosions early Tuesday morning on Qeshm Island and in the port city of Bandar Lengeh, both located in southern Iran.

No information has emerged regarding the cause of the explosions, nor have there been any reports of casualties or damage.
News of these strikes comes at a time when President Donald Trump has sought to downplay the possibility of a major new military conflict with Iran, following the midterm elections held on Tuesday.

On Monday, Trump remarked to reporters, “We had a war with Iran. We won. Although, I’m not sure you could even call it a war, given that we haven’t been engaged in any fighting for several months.”
However, US officials have told The Wall Street Journal that American forces have been conducting small-scale strikes against various targets in Iran over the past few weeks.
