Amid renewed military tensions surrounding Iran, US diplomatic missions in at least 11 Middle Eastern countries issued security alerts on Tuesday.
Simultaneously, the US Virtual Embassy in Tehran urged US citizens currently in Iran to leave the country immediately.
In a security alert, the US Virtual Embassy Tehran stated that the security situation in the Middle East remains complex and could deteriorate unexpectedly at any time. US citizens currently in the region are advised to exercise heightened caution and remain aware of potential flight cancellations, airspace closures, and travel disruptions.
The alert further advised against traveling to Iran for any reason, emphasizing that US citizens should leave the country immediately.
In addition to the US Virtual Embassy Tehran, US missions in Bahrain, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates also issued security alerts.
