An Iranian delegation has departed Qatar after exchanging messages with the United States. However, a diplomat familiar with the matter stated that their departure from Doha was not due to a breakdown in negotiations. The diplomat shared this information with the Qatar-based news outlet Al Jazeera.
According to the diplomat, a draft proposal aimed at halting the conflict involving the US, Israel, and Iran has been prepared and circulated among the relevant parties for their feedback. Discussions are also underway regarding the scheduling of a follow-up meeting. The diplomat provided these details on the condition of anonymity.
Meanwhile, Mohsen Rezaei, a senior Iranian security official, noted that there has been a complete shift in the tone and stance of Washington following a recent letter sent by US Vice President-elect JD Vance.
He described the letter as a “very positive sign.”
