The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned that if the United States launches another attack on Iran, Tehran will retaliate by targeting new locations. Speaking on a television program on Sunday, IRGC spokesperson Hossein Mohebbi stated that in the event of a fresh attack, Tehran would alter its weaponry and the ‘geography of war.’
Mohebbi said that any new attack would lead to significant changes in Iran’s defensive and offensive operations. He noted that the weaponry and the geography of the conflict would be transformed, and Iran would enter the battlefield with new capabilities and capacities—developments that would astonish the world.
The spokesperson added, “Our targets are no longer the same as before. We have identified new targets that have never been struck previously.”
Mohebbi further stated, “Iran is prepared for a long-term war. In our view, war consists of various stages; it does not simply end but continues. The IRGC was already prepared for war, and now it is even more prepared.”
He mentioned that the IRGC has not communicated with the United States, nor have Iran’s armed forces engaged in any diplomatic activities.
He emphasized that ensuring the country’s defense is the military’s primary objective.
He asserted that US hegemony in the region has come to an end and that, rather than Washington, it is Iran that is now shaping the new order or arrangement of the region.
