Yemen’s Houthi rebels have launched attacks on several cities in Saudi Arabia, injuring at least 73 people, including women and children. These attacks have raised concerns that the ongoing conflict in the Middle East could spread further. Reuters reported this development.
A spokesperson for the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen stated that the Houthis targeted the Saudi cities of Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, and Najran. In a statement posted on the social media platform X, the coalition vowed a firm response to these attacks, which targeted civilian and economic infrastructure.
Meanwhile, the Houthi-affiliated media outlet Ansarullah claimed in a Telegram post that they had successfully carried out drone and missile strikes deep within Saudi Arabia. They further stated that the attacks targeted Abha International Airport, King Khalid Air Base, and facilities belonging to the state-owned oil company Aramco in Abha and Jazan.
