Heavy rain and lightning have occurred in different parts of Saudi Arabia. The country’s National Meteorological Office reported this information in a statement on Sunday.

According to Khaleej Times, videos circulating online showed streets in Makkah flooded due to heavy rains in the region. The National Center for Meteorology has issued yellow warnings for various parts of the country.

Several videos published on a popular social media page called ‘Arab Storms’ show cars trying to cross rain-flooded roads. Water reached the windows of parked cars.

Another video shows pilgrims praying near the Kaaba amid heavy rain and strong winds. At this time, some people can be seen looking for shelter.

Apart from this, Jeddah, another important city in Saudi Arabia, also received moderate rainfall.
