Trump Prioritizes Israel Over His Own Country, Leaving Americans to Go Hungry: Carlson

Following the Republican Party’s defeat in the U.S. midterm elections, American conservative commentator Tucker Carlson has accused President Donald Trump of prioritizing Israel over the interests of his own nation, reports Anadolu Agency.

In a podcast released on the social media platform X on Thursday, Carlson stated that it is immoral for a leader to choose another country over his own people.

To illustrate Trump’s actions, Carlson used the analogy of taking a neighbor’s children to Disneyland. He argued that it is unethical to provide entertainment for a neighbor’s children while one’s own children are going hungry—and that this is precisely what Trump has done.

“He chose Israel over the United States,” Carlson said. “Even if people lie about it, everyone can see what is happening. This action by the U.S. President is fundamentally wrong.”

Carlson also criticized U.S. involvement in Middle Eastern conflicts, alleging that Washington undermines its own national interests by repeatedly engaging in wars for the sake of Israel.

“If your country launches one senseless war after another in the Middle East on behalf of Israel—and loses every single time—your nation’s power and influence will decline, your own citizens will lose their lives, and your economy will gradually head toward bankruptcy,” Carlson remarked.

He added, “Eventually, they might realize that this was a poor decision and that they should stop getting involved in wars for Israel. But that hasn’t happened yet, because no one has had the courage to speak the truth about what is actually going on.”

Citing the 2003 Iraq War, Carlson claimed that the United States entered that conflict at the behest of Israel—a pattern, he noted, that has persisted for more than two decades.

Referring to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Carlson said, “Twenty-three years ago, we went to war in Iraq by following Israel’s demands.” ‘If you ask anyone involved in that event, they will tell you that this is exactly what happened. Netanyahu was in charge even back then.’

Finally, he says, ‘The good news is that everyone can see it now. In the end, this will be the lasting legacy left behind by Donald Trump.’
