The 7 Conditions Iran Wants the U.S. to Meet to End the War

Diplomatic efforts are intensifying to halt the conflict involving the U.S., Israel, and Iran. Tehran, however, has insisted that the United States must meet seven specific conditions before any peace negotiations can begin.

Mohsen Rezaei, a senior Iranian security official, told Al Jazeera that Iran has presented these conditions to the U.S. as a prerequisite for ending the war. The conditions include:

  1. An end to all military and hostile actions across all battlefronts, including in Lebanon.
  2. The release of billions of dollars in Iranian funds that have been frozen.
  3. The lifting of the U.S. naval blockade on Iranian ports.
  4. An end to U.S. interference in Iran’s internal affairs.
  5. A cessation of U.S. cooperation with “opponents of our revolution.”
  6. An end to all forms of U.S. attacks on Iranian territory.

According to the Iranian security official, Tehran will only move toward peace negotiations once these conditions have been met.
