Iran’s Supreme Leader, Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, stated that Iranian forces have compelled “enemy forces” to retreat from the waters of southern Iran. He warned that the time is fast approaching to drive them out of the Arabian Sea as well. Iranian state media reported this information.
Khamenei made these remarks in a message marking “Sacred Defense Week,” an annual observance in Iran commemorating the Iran-Iraq War. The event also marks the anniversary of the killing of former Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in 2024.
Khamenei stated that the “enemy” has suffered significant losses due to attacks by Iran’s “heroic warriors” and the forces responsible for the security of the Strait of Hormuz. Consequently, they were forced to withdraw from the coastal waters of southern Iran and retreat toward the Arabian Sea.
He noted that after suffering severe blows at the hands of Iran’s heroic warriors and the guardians of the Strait of Hormuz, they no longer dare to venture beyond the Arabian Sea.
Khamenei asserted that whenever enemy forces have attempted to advance further against Iran, they have faced losses themselves.
He added that whenever they took such risks, they harmed themselves; the time is rapidly approaching when the Arabian Sea, too, will be free of their presence.
