US President Donald Trump has departed for Beijing to hold a crucial meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping. However, prior to his trip to China, Trump stated that Washington does not require Beijing’s assistance to halt the conflict with Iran or to curtail Tehran’s control over the Strait of Hormuz. The news agency Reuters confirmed this information in an online report.

Speaking to reporters before leaving Washington, the US President said, “I don’t think we need any help regarding Iran. We will win—whether peacefully or otherwise—by any means necessary.”

Iran has responded to the latest proposals put forward by the United States aimed at ending the conflict. Trump rejected Tehran’s proposals, dismissing them as “garbage.”

The BBC reports that Trump is traveling to China for a three-day state visit—his first in nearly a decade. The aircraft carrying his delegation is scheduled to arrive in Beijing on Wednesday.

Several top executives from major US technology companies have joined Trump’s delegation for this visit.

Analysts anticipate that the agenda for Trump’s visit to China will be quite complex. In addition to bilateral development, trade and commerce, tariffs, and technology issues, topics such as Taiwan and Iran are also expected to feature prominently in the upcoming discussions.

Should these negotiations fail to yield a successful outcome, tensions between the two sides could escalate.
