Following missile and drone attacks in the United Arab Emirates amidst a ceasefire, several hostile drones have now entered Kuwaiti airspace. Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense has confirmed this information. The Qatar-based news outlet Al Jazeera reported this development.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense stated that several hostile drones were detected in the country’s airspace early this morning. In a post on the social media platform X, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense noted that the armed forces immediately engaged these drones.
However, Kuwait has not yet provided any details regarding who launched these drones, nor has it disclosed the extent of any damage or casualties resulting from the attack.
Earlier, the United Arab Emirates held Iran responsible for the missile and drone attacks that have occurred within its borders in recent weeks. Iranian officials recently issued threats to wipe the UAE off the map.
Most Muslim nations in the Arab world desire a prolonged war between the United States and Israel against Iran. These nations continue to pressure U.S. President Donald Trump to militarily cripple Iran completely.
Meanwhile, Iran has not yet responded to the latest proposals put forward by the United States. Furthermore, tit-for-tat attacks occurred between the U.S. and Iran in the Strait of Hormuz last week. Consequently, the ceasefire—which had been in effect since April 8—has effectively been rendered fragile. Simultaneously, the attacks occurring across various countries in the Middle East have raised fears that a new conflict could erupt and spread throughout the region.
