In a post on the social media platform Truth Social, US President Donald Trump claimed that economically devastated Iran is unable to pay regular salaries to a large segment of its military personnel. He also alleged that the country’s security forces are engaging in unprecedented levels of abuse. Trump asserted that even individuals who do not participate in protests are falling victim to violence.
Trump stated that the situation in Iran has evolved into a severe humanitarian crisis that must be halted immediately. Meanwhile, the Trump administration has announced plans to impose the toughest economic sanctions ever against Iran.
Earlier, in another post on Monday, Trump claimed that Iran is on the verge of total collapse or ruin.
