The United States launched attacks on Iran again late Friday night, marking the seventh consecutive night that the country has been rocked by US strikes. Tehran has also retaliated, launching counter-attacks against US allies in the Gulf region.
In these reciprocal strikes, both sides have targeted various key installations. Attacks have also taken place in the Strait of Hormuz.
Since the renewed outbreak of conflict, fuel supplies from Gulf nations passing through the Strait of Hormuz have been halted. US Marines have seized control of a fuel tanker near the strait.
Meanwhile, citing Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), local media reported explosions on two tankers navigating a mine-laden route in the southern part of the Strait of Hormuz, causing both vessels to catch fire. However, the US military has dismissed this report as “fake.”
“The IRGC claimed to have attacked a US drone depot in Bahrain. They stated that Bahrain’s main artificial intelligence center was destroyed using ballistic missiles and drones.”
Armed individuals have seized another vessel off the coast of Yemen. This has heightened concerns regarding the security of fuel transport not only through the Strait of Hormuz but also through the Bab al-Mandab Strait—a narrow passage in the Red Sea.
Citing the IRGC, Iranian state television announced that until US aggression ceases, no chemical fertilizers—nor even a single drop of oil or gas—would be exported from the region.
The IRGC stated that four ships were intercepted using missile and drone strikes after violating navigation rules while passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
Washington and Tehran began exchanging fire last week, effectively breaking the agreement that had halted hostilities. Both sides have raised fears of a return to all-out war.
“If US attacks continue for a few more days, we will enter a phase of full-scale offensive operations.” – Mohsen Rezaei, Advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader
Iranian media reported that hostile forces launched an attack early Saturday in the coastal province of Hormozgan, located along the Strait of Hormuz. Three people were killed and eight injured in the attack, which also damaged two bridges and a road tunnel in the area.
Iranian state media had previously reported that at least five bridges in the country’s southern region were damaged in US attacks early Friday. Seven people were reportedly killed in attacks on bridges near the southern port of Khamir; the railway station in that area was also targeted. Further east and inland, an airport in Iranshahr province—near the border with Pakistan—sustained damage in an attack.
Amidst this exchange of attacks, Mohsen Rezaei, an advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader, warned the United States on state television yesterday, stating, “If US attacks continue for a few more days, we will enter a phase of full-scale offensive operations.”
Tehran has confirmed carrying out attacks on neighboring Gulf states hosting US airbases, including Bahrain, Qatar, and Kuwait. Additionally, Tehran has claimed to have attacked a US vessel stationed in the northern Indian Ocean.
Kuwaiti authorities stated that a power plant and a water purification facility in the country were damaged by Iranian attacks. The Kuwaiti military later announced that it had retaliated against the Iranian drone strikes.
The IRGC claimed to have attacked a US drone depot in Bahrain. A major artificial intelligence center in Bahrain was destroyed using ballistic missiles and drones.
