Top US commanders have warned US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth against prolonging a conflict with Iran. According to US media reports, several senior military officials have advised Hegseth not to pursue large-scale operations against Iran. Al Jazeera reported the story.

According to the commanders, US warships, military aircraft, and equipment have been diverted from various regions to support the conflict with Iran. Consequently, the capability to conduct other military operations and train troops in the affected regions has diminished.
Meanwhile, more than 50,000 US troops have been kept on high alert for months amid fears that orders for new attacks against Iran could be issued. At the same time, US President Donald Trump continues to pressure Tehran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and accept US conditions for ending the conflict.
