Prominent Palestinian activist Ahed Tamimi has been released in a prisoner exchange under the terms of a ceasefire in Gaza. He was released from Israel’s Ofer prison on Wednesday night. Since then, she has been hailed as a Palestinian heroine. 22-year-old Ahed Tamimi was detained by Israeli forces on November 6 in the occupied West Bank city of Nabi Saleh. Israeli forces said he was arrested on charges of inciting terrorism. A week before her arrest, Ahed Tamimi’s father was arrested by Israeli forces.

Ahed Tamimi was one of the 30 Palestinians that Israel released in the sixth round on Wednesday. Hamas has been pressing Israel for his release from the beginning.
