Russia has claimed to have intercepted and destroyed 605 Ukrainian drones. In a statement, the country’s Ministry of Defence reported that drone attacks were repelled across various Russian regions—including Moscow and the Black Sea area—throughout Wednesday night.
Black smoke was seen over the Russian city of Yaroslavl on Thursday morning following Ukrainian drone attacks. Regional Governor Mikhail Yevrayev stated that the area had been subjected to a massive attack overnight, claiming that 92 Ukrainian drones were destroyed.
Yaroslavl is home to one of Russia’s largest oil refineries.
Meanwhile, three people were killed in a Russian attack on the Ukrainian city of Balakliia, and 12 others were injured in Sumy.
