Massive Russian attack on Ukraine

At least seven people have been killed in widespread long-range missile and drone attacks across Ukraine. This intense assault took place just one day after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with US President Donald Trump. The Russian Ministry of Defence stated that it had launched “massive strikes” using precision long-range weapons from sea, land, and air against Ukrainian military targets.

CNN reported the news. The most devastating scenes unfolded in Kryvyi Rih, Zelenskyy’s hometown, where a ballistic missile strike on a residential building killed six people, including two children aged 5 and 12. Several buildings were also destroyed in the capital, Kyiv, and in the city of Lviv, near the Polish border. In Kyiv, civilians spent the night sheltering in subway stations.

Rescue workers are continuing efforts to retrieve people trapped under the rubble. Meanwhile, a massive fire was reported at a large warehouse in the Russian city of Penza following a Ukrainian drone attack. Ukraine claimed the warehouse was used to supply logistics for Russia’s war effort. Intense tension now prevails across the border region due to these reciprocal attacks. Simultaneously, a loud explosion occurred in a Polish village near the Ukrainian border after an unidentified object fell there.

The Polish military and local police confirmed the incident. It took place in the village of Tarnawa-Kolonia, approximately 95 kilometers from the Polish border. Polish authorities stated that they had kept fighter jets on standby following the Russian attacks and tightened security in the border area immediately after the explosion.
