Johnny Depp is an American actor, producer & musician. He’s one of the most acclaimed & largely paid actors of his time & is known for his portrayals of eccentric & offbeat characters in Films such as Edward Scissorhands ( 1990), Sleepy Hollow( 1999), Pirates of the Caribbean ( 2003-present), Charlie & the Chocolate Factory ( 2005), Alice in- Wonderland( 2010) & The Lone Ranger ( 2013),etc.

Depp was born in Owensboro, Kentucky, on June 9, 1963, to John Christopher Depp & Betty Sue Palmer. He has two older siblings, daughter Christi and son Danny. Depp was raised in a family of Southern Baptists and his mother was a waitress. Depp’s parents divorced in 1978, when he was 15.

Depp began acting in the early 1980s, appearing in the television series 21 Jump Street & the horror movie A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984). His first major role was in the 1985 movie Private Resort. He went on to star in the cult classic Edward Scissorhands (1990) – which gained him recognition as an Actor… Other notable roles include his portrayal of Capt. Jack Sparrow in the – Pirates of the Caribbean series, as well as his Academy Award-nominated roles in the Films Finding Neverland (2004) & Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007).

Depp has been married twice & has two children. He has also been in a long-term relationship with actress & model Amber Heard… Depp is an avid musician, having played guitar for the rock band P, which he formed in 1994. He has released two solo albums and collaborated with musicians such as Alice Cooper and Oasis.

Depp has won multitudinous awards throughout his career, including the- Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy for his part in Sweeney Todd. He was also named Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine in 2003. Depp is one of the most popular and recognizable actors of his generation.
