Israeli Energy Minister Eli Cohen has threatened to launch fresh Strikes on Iran. In an interview with the Israeli news outlet Ynet on Saturday, he stated that if Iran attempts to restart its nuclear or ballistic missile programs, Israel will strike again. He warned that such an attack would occur even if Iran were to reach an agreement with the United States.
He said, “If Iran makes a mistake and attempts to restart its nuclear or ballistic missile programs—even if there is a deal with the US—we will be there to carry out an attack.”
Cohen asserted that had Israel not launched attacks, Iran would have acquired nuclear weapons. He noted that, according to Israeli intelligence assessments, a joint US-Israeli strike set the program back by two to four years.
He added, “We have already demonstrated our capabilities.”
