Israel carried out major overnight attacks across various areas of southern Lebanon. Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) reported that the entire region shook from a series of deafening explosions.
The report stated that loud explosions were heard following Israeli strikes around midnight in the Yohmor al-Shakif, Arnoun, and Kfar Tebnit areas. The tremors from these blasts were felt as far away as the Al-Kharroub and Khalde areas.
Intense explosions also occurred near the historic Beaufort Castle in the Marjayoun district. The blasts shattered windows in numerous homes in the nearby town of Qulay’ah and caused damage to some residences. Local residents described the area shaking violently from the force of the explosions, accompanied by a strong smell of gunpowder spreading through the air.
The NNA further reported that Israeli forces fired heavy machine guns at the outskirts of the Al-Mansouri and Bayut al-Sayyad areas in the Tyre district. Heavy artillery shells were also fired into the Al-Mansouri area.
Additionally, an Israeli tank convoy was observed advancing from the Bara’achit hills in the Bint Jbeil district towards the Ainata area. At the same time, the National News Agency reported heavy explosions and strong tremors across various parts of the country’s eastern and western regions.
