US President Donald Trump has stated that he believes the ongoing conflict with Iran will conclude soon. At the same time, he acknowledged that the US military is facing issues regarding the stockpiles of certain weapons.
The US President made these remarks while speaking to reporters in the Oval Office of the White House yesterday, Thursday.
Regarding the conflict with Iran, Trump said, “I think it will end very soon. I don’t think they can hold out much longer.”
A Reuters report on Tuesday stated that during the five-month conflict with Iran, the US military had exhausted a significant portion of its stockpile of long-range missiles capable of high-precision strikes.
Trump was asked about US weapons stockpiles yesterday. In response, he said, “The United States has an unlimited supply of certain types of powerful weapons. However, the stockpiles of some other weapons are relatively low.”
Trump noted that US defense companies are establishing new manufacturing facilities, including plants for producing Patriot and Tomahawk missiles.
