Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed to have destroyed a military radar installation at the US Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait. They also claimed to have attacked a gathering point for US troops at Camp Arifjan. These attacks were carried out as part of “Operation Nasr-2.”
In a statement released on Saturday, the IRGC said its ground forces attacked a US Army logistics supply center at Camp Arifjan, claiming that several US soldiers were killed in the process.
The statement further noted that the radar system at Ali Al Salem Air Base was destroyed via a drone strike. Iranian forces also attacked a weapons maintenance hangar and a drone storage facility.
The IRGC announced that the ground forces’ counter-offensive operations would continue.
The Revolutionary Guard accused the US of targeting civilian infrastructure after failing to succeed in direct combat. They claimed the US has attacked hospitals, bridges, railway lines, airports, seaports, telecommunication centers, and civilians to mask its failures on the battlefield.
The statement reiterated that the ground forces’ retaliatory operations would persist.
In a separate statement, the IRGC said its navy launched coordinated drone and missile attacks last night in response to US aggression.
The statement claimed Iranian forces attacked a US naval fuel supply base at Kuwait’s Al-Ahmadi Port, a US military aircraft facility at Bahrain’s Sheikh Isa Air Base, and an intelligence center named “Batelco” in Bahrain. The IRGC Navy also destroyed a US signal and communications center in Kuwait.
It was further stated that the IRGC Navy maintained full control over the Strait of Hormuz while conducting these operations.
The IRGC warned that if US aggression continues, they would respond on an even larger scale. Meanwhile, the Iranian Army claimed to have launched a cruise missile attack on a US ship in the Indian Ocean. Iran claims that the United States has repeatedly attacked its territory since US President Donald Trump unilaterally announced a ceasefire on April 7. According to Tehran, this is part of a recent joint aggression by the US and Israel against Iran.
Iran further stated that these attacks have not ceased, despite the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Washington and Tehran last month through Pakistani mediation. The primary condition of that agreement was the cessation of all forms of military aggression.
