Once upon a time, there was a young girl named Cinderella. She lived with her wicked stepmother and two stepsisters. Her life was filled with hardship and sorrow.
One day, the King of the land announced a grand ball to be held at the palace. All of the eligible ladies in the kingdom were invited. Cinderella wanted to go, but her stepmother forbade it.
Cinderella’s fairy godmother appeared and said, “Do not despair, my dear. I will make it possible for you to attend the ball.” With a wave of her wand, she turned a pumpkin into a beautiful coach and mice into horses.
She then gave Cinderella a beautiful gown and glass slippers. She warned her that the magic would wear off at midnight, so she should leave the ball before then.
Cinderella arrived at the ball and danced with the prince, who was enchanted by her beauty and grace. When midnight struck, she remembered her godmother’s warning and ran away, leaving behind one of her glass slippers.
The prince searched everywhere for the maiden whose foot fit the glass slipper. Finally, he found Cinderella and they were married. They lived happily ever after.
