US rejects UN report on war crimes in Iran

The United States has rejected the report issued by the UN’s Independent International Fact-Finding Mission on Iran. A US State Department official stated that the US does not consider the report’s findings credible.

The UN fact-finding mission announced on Thursday that evidence exists to support the claim that the United States committed war crimes in Iran.

In its report, the UN mission cited a Tomahawk missile strike on a primary school in the Iranian city of Minab. More than 150 people were killed in the attack. Iranian officials reported that at least 120 of the victims were schoolchildren.
