Houthis claim attack on Saudi Arabian airport

Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen have claimed to have struck a “sensitive target” at Najran Airport in southern Saudi Arabia. This information was reported on Tuesday (August 4) in a live update by the Qatar-based news outlet Al Jazeera.
A statement from the Houthi military spokesman indicated that a drone strike successfully hit a “sensitive Saudi target” at Najran Airport, noting that the attack struck the target with precision.

The statement further added that Saudi forces had repeatedly violated Yemeni airspace using drones over the Sa’dah and Hajjah provinces, and that this attack was a response to those actions.
According to the Houthis, the strike was carried out in retaliation for recent drone activities by Saudi Arabia.
However, Saudi authorities have not yet issued an official comment or confirmed the veracity of the claim regarding the attack. Consequently, it has not been possible to independently verify the extent of the damage or the actual impact of the strike.
