A key facility in Kuwait’s oil sector has been damaged in an Iranian attack, the country’s state-owned Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) said.
“A key facility in the oil sector has been repeatedly subjected to brutal attacks by Iran. Several people were injured and extensive material damage was caused,” the KPC said in a statement, quoted by Kuwait’s official news agency Kunar.
The statement also said that the injured were provided with immediate medical care and the facility was evacuated for security reasons. The situation after the attack is being dealt with in coordination with the relevant government authorities.
On the other hand, the Jordanian armed forces said that they had detected and shot down four drones that entered the country’s airspace in the past 24 hours.
In a statement, they said that there were no casualties or damage to property in the shooting down of the drones.
