The Kuwaiti military has reported that several of its soldiers were injured in an Iranian drone attack on Friday morning.
In a statement, the Kuwaiti army said that members of the Kuwait Land Force sustained injuries when Iranian drones attacked multiple military installations and army camps. However, details regarding the exact number of casualties or the specific facilities targeted were not disclosed.
The statement further noted that the Army’s Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Khaled Dirz Saad Al-Shuraiyan, and the Deputy Chief of General Staff, Air Vice Marshal Sabah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, visited the injured soldiers in the hospital to inquire about their condition. During the visit, medical personnel briefed them on the status of the injured and the progress of their treatment.
Earlier, Kuwait had announced that its air defense systems had intercepted missiles and drones launched by Iran.
