A 23-year-old woman in the Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh, India, has been accused of murdering her husband with the help of her lover. Furthermore, she attempted to cover up the crime by staging it as a mugging incident.
The police disclosed this information. A strikingly similar incident had occurred just a few days earlier in the state’s Dhar district.
Police stated that the crime took place within the jurisdiction of the Ater police station in Bhind district. Speaking to reporters last Saturday, District Superintendent of Police (SP) Asit Yadav confirmed the arrest of the accused woman, Ruby, and her lover, Vishal Bimal (21). However, another individual who assisted in the murder remains at large.
Earlier, on April 8, police were informed that a man named Nilesh Jatav (27) had been shot dead by unidentified robbers while traveling on a motorcycle with his wife, Ruby, and their child.
How the Truth Came to Light
Ruby initially told the police that they were returning to Kharika from Yamuna village. On the way, along the Ridoli-Kharika road, her bag fell off.
SP Asit Yadav stated that, according to Ruby, when her husband stopped the motorcycle, she went to pick up the bag. At that precise moment, two unidentified individuals approached from behind, shot her husband, and fled.
Following the incident, the police registered a murder case against unidentified persons and launched an investigation.
The SP noted that Ruby’s statements appeared suspicious during the investigation. The mystery was subsequently unravelled when the police interrogated her using psychological questioning techniques.
Police revealed that Ruby had been in a romantic relationship with her relative, Vishal Bimal, for about seven years. They maintained constant contact through WhatsApp calls and chats. Ruby viewed her husband as a major obstacle to their relationship. According to a pre-planned scheme, while traveling on the motorcycle with her husband, Ruby intentionally dropped her bag at a specific location and asked him to stop the vehicle. When Nilesh stopped, Vishal and his accomplice shot and killed him. Police officials stated that a 12-bore country-made pistol, empty cartridges, a motorcycle without a registration number, and a mobile phone were seized from the arrested accused. Another individual named Rajesh Kushwaha, who abetted the crime, remains at large, and efforts to locate him are underway.
A similar incident recently occurred in the Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh. There, a woman hired a contract killer, in collusion with her lover, to murder her husband. Initially, she attempted to pass the incident off as a robbery but later confessed to the crime during police interrogation.
