Iran Att on K

Iran has launched successive missile and drone attacks on US military installations across various Middle Eastern countries. Targets in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar were struck between Thursday night and Friday morning.

The Iranian military stated that it targeted US aircraft at a military base in Bahrain. The Kuwaiti military reported that it was responding to the missile and drone strikes. Qatari authorities announced that a child was injured by falling missile debris.

Sounds of multiple explosions were heard across various parts of Qatar early Friday morning. Following the attacks, a warning was issued regarding heightened security risks, urging residents to remain in safe shelters.

However, Qatar’s Ministry of Defence later stated that the country’s armed forces had successfully intercepted a missile aimed at Qatar. Shortly thereafter, the Ministry of Interior announced that the security situation had normalized and the threat to the country had passed. Citing the Qatar News Agency (QNA), the ministry urged the public to follow instructions from relevant authorities.

Meanwhile, Kuwait’s Ministry of Defence reported that 32 “hostile drones” were detected in the country’s airspace since early Friday and successfully shot down. Ministry spokesperson Colonel Saud Abdulaziz Al-Atwan stated that debris from the intercepted drones fell on several residential areas, causing damage to some homes and structures, though no casualties were reported.

A Reuters report indicated that several key installations in Kuwait were damaged in the Iranian attacks, although specific details regarding the extent of the damage were not disclosed. Bahrain was also targeted; the country’s Ministry of Interior issued an air-raid alert, instructing the public to stay calm and seek shelter in the nearest safe locations.
