US President Donald Trump has once again issued a warning regarding the potential outbreak of war against Iran. Fears are mounting that US and Israeli forces could launch fresh attacks on the country at any moment. Against this backdrop, Iran is providing weapons training to its citizens.

According to a report by the Indian news outlet NDTV, various images and footage circulating over the past few days show civilians in Tehran receiving basic instruction on the use of firearms.

This indicates how Iranian authorities are preparing the population for a potential ground invasion by US forces. In fact, viewers of Iran’s state television are even being taught how to handle rifles.

In one viral clip, Hossein Hosseini—a presenter for the country’s state-owned Ofogh channel—is seen firing a rifle from the studio rooftop during a live broadcast.

He was receiving a lesson on weapons handling from a masked member of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Another viral video shows Mobina Nasiri, a presenter for Channel 3, addressing viewers while holding a rifle with both hands.

She stated, “A weapon has been sent to me from Vanak Square so that I, too—just like all of you—can learn how to use it.”
The Qatar-based news outlet Al Jazeera reports that training sessions to teach citizens how to handle weapons have been organized at mosques across several cities in the country.

CNN notes that Iran has organized these initiatives as part of the public’s preparation to defend the nation.
