The United States has announced its support for Nepal in the wake of devastating floods. US President Donald Trump stated that the severity of the disaster is unprecedented, noting that even buildings have been swept away by the currents.
Trump mentioned that approximately 50 to 60 US citizens remain unaccounted for following the floods. He also expressed concern that some of the missing individuals might have perished.
He stated that the US has been in contact with Nepal’s leadership and assured that Washington is ready to provide any form of assistance required by the country.
Recent severe flooding has caused extensive damage across various parts of Nepal, and many people remain missing. Rescue and relief operations are currently underway.
