US forces launched widespread attacks across various regions of Iran on Tuesday (September 1). At least 18 people, including members of Iranian security forces, were killed in these strikes. This information was reported in a live update by the Qatar-based news outlet Al Jazeera.
According to reports, four people were killed in a US strike on a wedding party in Kohestak, Iran. Additionally, seven more people were killed in US attacks at three locations in Khuzestan province.
Meanwhile, four members of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) were killed in an attack yesterday in the Kermanshah region.
Furthermore, three fighters from Iran’s paramilitary Basij force were killed in a US airstrike on Lavan Island.
US Central Command (CENTCOM) claimed that the United States carried out these attacks following recent attempts by the IRGC to target commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
In retaliation for these strikes, Iran launched attacks on US military bases located in Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain.
