Speculation regarding Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s marriage is once again rife across the internet, with various rumors circulating widely. Is he uncomfortable with this discussion about his personal life? Citing various sources, Geo News reported that his father, Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari, has traveled to Liechtenstein with other family members to discuss and finalize a date for Bilawal’s wedding. Rumors suggest the wedding could take place later this year; it is also claimed that his alleged fiancée is a resident of Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein.
However, the PPP has categorically denied these reports. Murtaza Wahab, Bilawal’s spokesperson and the Mayor of Karachi, stated on social media that the news regarding the PPP chairman’s engagement or marriage is incorrect and baseless. Neither Bilawal nor his family has made any official announcement regarding an engagement or wedding so far. Consequently, the claims circulating on social media remain unverified. Liechtenstein is a small sovereign state in Western Europe, situated between Switzerland and Austria; its capital, Vaduz, serves as the country’s political and administrative hub. Bilawal has spoken publicly about marriage in the past but has never disclosed details regarding a potential life partner or a wedding date.
In 2022, during the 77th session of the UN General Assembly, a journalist asked Bilawal about his marriage plans. Smiling, the then-Foreign Minister of Pakistan replied, “Of course, I have plans to get married.” However, he did not provide a specific answer regarding when that might happen. Even earlier, in 2016, Bilawal remarked that his future wife would first have to win over his sisters. He stated at the time, “The right candidate must first win my sisters’ hearts.”
“She has to earn their trust. And winning my sisters’ hearts is a very difficult task for any girl.” However, there is currently no official basis for the rumors circulating about an alleged wedding arrangement in Liechtenstein.
