Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that, in retaliation for US attacks in the country’s south, they launched drone strikes targeting the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain. This information was reported by Iranian state media.

The IRGC also claimed to have attacked an airbase in Jordan known to house US forces.

In a statement, the IRGC noted that the conflict between the two sides is ongoing. They warned that if US military aggression continues, an even harsher response will follow.

The IRGC further stated that the US had attacked several locations in southern Iran, including Jask, Sirik, and Qeshm Island. During the attacks, a telecommunications tower was damaged and two water tanks were destroyed in the Bemani district of Sirik.

The IRGC also claimed to have launched long-range missile strikes against an airbase in Jordan where US military personnel are stationed.

The IRGC statement said that their missiles struck and destroyed four critical facilities at the airbase. These included hangars for F-35 fighter jets and a main command and control center.

The IRGC described this missile attack as a major step in a large-scale retaliatory operation. They claimed that, as part of this operation, 21 targets—including various US air and naval bases across the Middle East—were struck. Additionally, a US MQ-9 drone was shot down within Iranian airspace.

Meanwhile, the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army stated that the country’s air defense systems are active and are intercepting incoming threats (such as missiles and drones).

In a post on the social media platform X, the Kuwaiti Army urged residents to adhere to security directives and precautionary advice issued by the authorities. They also requested that the public obtain information solely from official sources.
