Based on his current salary, Prime Minister Wong is already the highest-paid political leader in the world. He is followed by Hong Kong’s Chief Executive John Lee, who earns approximately $719,000. Swiss President Guy Parmelin holds the third spot with an annual salary of $606,000.
US President Donald Trump ranks fourth, earning $400,000 annually, while British Prime Minister Andy Burnham ranks fifth with a salary of $230,000.
