Members of the Iranian delegation walked out of the UN General Assembly session as soon as the topic of repeated US military strikes on Tehran was raised. Al Jazeera reported this in its live coverage.
On Tuesday, as President Donald Trump mentioned US military strikes on Tehran during his speech, members of the Iranian delegation left the hall one by one. Eventually, only a low-ranking Iranian official remained seated.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi are currently in New York to attend the annual UN General Assembly session.
However, they were not seen seated with the Iranian delegation in the General Assembly hall during Trump’s speech.
