outhis claim four attacks on Saudi Arabia

Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen have claimed to have carried out four separate operations against Saudi Arabia. After claiming responsibility for a deadly attack on Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport on Saturday, the group stated on Sunday that these operations were launched in retaliation for Saudi airstrikes. This is according to a BBC report.

Yahya Saree, the group’s spokesperson, said in a statement on Telegram that Saudi Arabia had conducted 124 airstrikes on Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen over the past 24 hours. He claimed that the Houthis carried out four operations in response.

Saree stated that attacks were launched in three waves against Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport starting Friday evening, resulting in the complete closure of the airport.

Additionally, the group claimed to have caused a massive fire at the Shugaiq gas facility belonging to Saudi Arabia’s state-owned oil and gas company, Aramco. They also claimed to have attacked and set fire to Aramco’s Tanajib oil refinery.

According to the Houthis, the fourth operation targeted King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, disrupting air traffic.

In the statement, the group reiterated warnings to international companies, experts, workers, and travelers from around the world against operating flights to or from Saudi airports.

They asserted that, with the exception of the airports and airspace of Mecca and Medina, other airports in Saudi Arabia are not safe.
