England in the semi-finals

England 2–1 Norway (Full-time)

England secured a spot in the World Cup semi-finals by defeating Norway 2–1 after a 120-minute battle. England fell behind in the 36th minute of the first half but equalized before the break through a goal by Bellingham. However, controversy has already arisen regarding this goal.

Norway claimed that the goal-kick taken by goalkeeper Nyland struck the cable of an overhead SkyCam. They believe the ball dropped down to Elliott Anderson from that point; Anderson then passed to Anthony Gordon, and Jude Bellingham scored the equalizer after receiving the ball from Gordon inside the box.

With no further goals scored in regulation time, the match went into extra time. There, Bellingham scored again in the 93rd minute to put England ahead 2–1. This goal ultimately sealed the victory for the English side. England’s opponent in the semi-final will be the winner of the match between Argentina and Switzerland.
