A professor known as the “Chinese Nostradamus” has made a series of alarming predictions regarding the year 2027. He claims that the consequences of these events could push political and social instability in the United States to a level that might ultimately erupt into civil war, according to a report by the Daily Mail.
Jiang Xueqin, a Chinese-Canadian educator and political commentator, has earned the nickname “Chinese Nostradamus” due to his various geopolitical forecasts. His supporters claim that several of his past predictions have subsequently come true.
These include the prediction of Donald Trump’s victory in the 2024 US presidential election and the forecast that the US and Israel could become embroiled in a conflict with Iran during Trump’s second term.
Now, Jiang has highlighted further ominous signs surrounding the year 2027. In his view, these situations could stem from a war involving Iran and rising internal political tensions within the US. Jiang told podcast host Jack Neel that almost all the necessary ingredients for a civil war in the US are already in place; widespread discontent, riots, protests, and rebellions could break out across the country. He also expressed concern that the global economy could collapse by 2027.
His first major prediction is that the situation surrounding Iran could escalate into a full-scale war. In such a scenario, the US might be forced to launch a ground invasion of Iran, thereby becoming bogged down in a Middle Eastern conflict for an extended period.
Jiang believes this conflict could last for a decade or longer. He further claims that if the need arises to deploy ground troops to Iran, the US government might reinstate a national military draft, potentially making military service mandatory for 18-year-olds.
According to Jiang, alongside these developments, the powers of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) could expand significantly in major US cities. Subsequently, a combination of economic collapse and widespread protests and riots could ensue, ultimately creating the conditions for a civil war. However, Jiang claims that he does not foresee the future like an astrologer or a soothsayer. Instead, he makes predictions using three main methods. One of these involves viewing countries and political leaders much like poker players.
