Shocking information has emerged revealing that at least 100 US troops have been injured in Iranian attacks across various Middle Eastern countries this month. CBS News reported this information, citing US officials.
Sean Parnell, spokesperson for the Pentagon chief, confirmed the CBS report in a statement. He stated that at least 100 US troops have sustained injuries of varying severity since July 7, 2026; however, 96 percent of them have returned to duty.
Parnell noted that the troops are determined to return to the fight, adding that most of the injuries were minor.
Following the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Iran and the US on June 17, a new phase of conflict began between the two nations on July 6. Both sides have been engaging in tit-for-tat attacks.
US forces claim they are striking Iranian targets to mitigate the risk of attacks on commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. In retaliation, Iran has been targeting US bases in Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, and other US-allied nations.

A CBS News report on Friday stated that Iran launched multiple attacks on US military bases in Jordan last week, resulting in injuries to a significant number of US troops.
The US has not disclosed the exact number of troops injured or the extent of asset damage resulting from these Iranian attacks.
Last week, the US military announced that two of its soldiers were killed in an Iranian attack on a base in Jordan, while another soldier remains missing in the country. The US also reported that another soldier was killed while attempting to neutralize an unexploded object in Iraq.
Meanwhile, the Department of Defense Casualty Analysis System (DCAS) reported that 413 troops have been injured since the conflict with Iran began last February; however, this figure does not include the US troops injured this month.
The DCAS website lists the total number of US casualties (injured) at 427, a figure that includes 14 fatalities. However, US soldiers killed last week were not included in the list.
US President Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social on Monday (July 20) that whenever Iran kills a US soldier, they will have to pay a manifold price for that killing!
The US President stated that this directive has been issued to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Cain, and other military leaders.
