According to Israeli media sources, at least two Israeli soldiers were killed and seven others injured—some critically—by an IED explosion inside a building rigged with explosives in southern Lebanon. Israeli occupation forces have been conducting aggressive operations in the area for an extended period.
Israeli authorities were reportedly making desperate efforts to save a third soldier wounded in the attack, who was undergoing emergency surgery.
Earlier, Israeli media reported that multiple individuals, including several critically injured, were evacuated from southern Lebanon to hospitals in Israel following a “severe security incident.”
According to Israeli media, a helicopter and three ambulances landed at Rambam Hospital in Haifa.
The killed and injured soldiers belonged to the 55th Brigade.
