Israel launched fresh airstrikes across the Gaza Strip just hours after Hamas—the Gaza-based Palestinian political party and armed group—agreed to lay down arms under the ‘Gaza Board of Peace’ plan. At least two Palestinians were killed in these attacks.
Citing medical sources, reports indicate that one Palestinian lost his life in an Israeli airstrike on Salah al-Din Road in central Gaza.
Separately, medics confirmed that another Palestinian was killed in an Israeli drone strike in the Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City.
The Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that yesterday (Friday), Israeli settlers—protected by police and military forces—attacked the West Bank village of Al-Mughayyir. During the attack, a 10-year-old Palestinian child was critically injured after being struck by gunfire.
Another Wafa report stated that Israeli forces physically and mentally assaulted a Palestinian man near the Huwara checkpoint, south of Nablus.
Amjad Ahmed, director of the Palestine Red Crescent’s ambulance and emergency services in Nablus, said their rescue team provided first aid to a 22-year-old man injured in an attack by Israeli forces.
Last week, four Palestinians and two Israelis were killed in a bloody attack by settlers in the village of Tell, near Nablus. Since that incident, the Israeli military has been conducting overnight raids and arrests in the area almost daily.
Meanwhile, attacks continue in the besieged Gaza Strip. Citing an emergency rescue service source, Al Jazeera reported that at least one Palestinian was killed in an Israeli drone strike in the Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City. Earlier, doctors at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital confirmed that a Palestinian lost his life in a separate airstrike carried out on the Salah al-Din road in central Gaza.
