Congratulating Spain on its World Cup victory, Iran stated that the win has brought joy to many people around the world who oppose the policies of the United States and Israel.
Citing Iran’s state news agency IRNA, senior Iranian official Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf noted that the Spanish players’ support for the Palestinian people—along with the Spanish government’s critical stance regarding Israel’s military aggression in Gaza and the US-Israeli hostility toward Iran—has been received positively across the globe.
Ghalibaf remarked that the players’ support for the Palestinian people and Spain’s position regarding Iran demonstrate that an independent spirit and steadfastness are hallmarks of that wise and dignified nation.
The report also highlighted that the World Cup-winning team has garnered widespread support on social media due to the Spanish government’s foreign policy and its stance on the issues of Gaza and Iran.
