32 Killed, Including 5 Children, in Massive Russian Attack on Ukraine

Russia has launched massive missile and drone attacks across Ukraine, killing at least 32 people—including five children—and injuring over a hundred others. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy strongly condemned the assault, describing it as one of Russia’s most “barbaric attacks.” News agency Reuters reported the incident. The highest death toll from the Russian strikes occurred in the city of Pryluky in the Chernihiv region, where a missile hit a five-story residential building, killing at least 22 people. Additionally, at least 10 more people lost their lives in various other cities, including the capital, Kyiv.

According to the Ukrainian military, Russia carried out the attacks overnight using at least 70 missiles and dozens of drones. The Russian Ministry of Defence claimed the strikes targeted Ukrainian military factories and weapons depots. However, Ukraine maintains that the Russian attacks damaged residential areas and energy infrastructure. To address the situation, Zelenskyy has urged Western allies to urgently supply more Patriot air defense systems.
