The Iraq-based armed group ‘Islamic Resistance in Iraq’ (IRI) has announced a $10 million reward for the head of US President Donald Trump.
On Thursday, the pro-Iran organization stated that this monetary reward would be given to anyone who succeeds in killing Trump.
In a statement labeling Trump a “criminal,” the IRI announced that the $10 million fund was raised through donations from its members and supporters. They declared that the money would go to whichever individual, group, or entity carries out the killing of Trump.
The statement further read, “Freedom-loving people across the world will continue their efforts to bring the killer of children and scientists to justice. Tyrants will never know peace. That criminal (Trump) will find no safe haven from the wrath of honorable people.”
The organization also asserted that seeking retribution is a “binding pledge” for its fighters. The statement added, “The blood of the martyrs will act as a curse, shaking the thrones of the arrogant until the aggressors are defeated and the citadels of tyranny crumble.”
Meanwhile, a report by Gulf News noted that during a recent meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi at the White House in Washington, Trump acknowledged his role in the 2020 killing of senior Iranian military commander General Qasem Soleimani and Iraqi militia leader Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.
It is believed that this public admission by Trump prompted the ‘Islamic Resistance in Iraq’ to announce the bounty on his head.
