Following the recent US midterm elections, the Democrats have secured a majority in both chambers of Congress. US Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz has stated that once the new Congress convenes in January, efforts will be made to put an end to the ongoing ‘illegal war’ in Iran, as reported by Al Jazeera.
In a post on the social media platform X on Friday, Debbie Wasserman Schultz wrote, “MAGA extremists tried to tear our country apart, but they failed. Democrats will restore American values and put an end to extremism.”
She made these remarks in reference to ‘Make America Great Again’ (MAGA)—a political slogan used by supporters of Donald Trump.
It is worth noting that in the recent US midterm elections, the Democrats won a majority in both the House of Representatives and the Senate. The new Congress is set to begin its session this coming January.
